Sustainable e-Parking
Project and design of ecological park, based on a synergic interaction of the parking space of electric vehicles with the bioclimatic reaction green space and socio-recreational use.
The e-Parking is characterized by a fascinating variety of features and citizen uses, as well as countless environmental benefits. The original parking options have been supplemented, what we now have is a clear example of urban infrastructure from the post-industrial era. It arises in an attractive district where life, work, and food production function in a sustainable balance.
This change towards a more humane use has also required our team of designers and planners, led by our Head of Project Intelligence, Angel Rubio-Tormos, an adjustment in the conception of public space. We will try to guarantee the accessibility of the surrounding public centers and commercial spaces, so that the area is better connected with the surrounding urban structures. The public space around the e-Parking is transformed from an abandoned lot to an advanced parking lot with an electroline station, a therapeutic garden, a vegetable garden, an urban forest and a wildlife reserve. The harshness of a degraded space in rural areas now leaves room for freshness, for green, for a human habitat.
E-Parking is a fundamental engine in this transformation. The installation plays a qualitative role as a catalyst for communication and transit processes. We have created a space of maximum green character by reducing the necessary “hard” surfaces to a minimum. It is the people and the green who receive all the attention, and who are going to enjoy the facilities.
El e-Parking se caracteriza por una variedad fascinante de características y usos ciudadanos, así como innumerables beneficios ambientales. Las opciones de estacionamiento originales se han complementado, lo que ahora tenemos es un claro ejemplo de infraestructura urbana de la era post-industrial. Surge en un distrito atractivo donde la vida, el trabajo y la producciónde alimentos funcionan en un equilibrio sostenible.
Este cambio hacia un uso más humano también ha requerido de nuestro equipo de diseñadores y planificadores, liderado por nuestro Jefe de Inteligencia de Proyectos, Angel Rubio-Tormos, un ajuste en la concepción del espacio público. Vamos a tratar de garantizar la accesibilidad de los centros públicos circundantes y de los espacios comerciales, de modo que el área esté mejor conectada con las estructuras urbanas circundantes. El espacio público alrededor del e-Parking se transforma de un solar abandonado a un parking avanzado con electrolinera, jardín terapeútico, huerto vecinal, bosque urbano y reserva de fauna. La dureza de un espacio degradado en el medio rural deja ahora espacio para el frescor, para el verde, para un hábitat humano.
El e-Parking es una motor fundamental en esta transformación. La instalación juega un papel cualitativo como catalizador de los procesos de comunicación y de tránsito. Hemos creado un espacio de máximo carácter verde al reducir las superficies “duras” necesarias a la mínima expresión. Son las personas y el verde quienes reciben toda la atención, y quienes van a disfrutar de las instalaciones.
