Study for roundabout
The winning design of this emblematic ecological roundabout on the outskirts of the city emphasizes the isolated nature of the area. Experience and identification with the surrounding water of the Mediterranean has been maximized. The environment maintains a dialogue with the roundabout and both have it with the water.
The project has consisted of cleaning and transforming the original site and now, the installation will be more linked to the different areas that surround it. At the same time, the different parts of the circulatory node will also join; The future promenade and the bike paths along the water will reconnect the northern and southern parts of the neighborhood.
The objective of the design is to create a generating element of empathy towards logos and natural recreation, from the approach of the suggestion. There will be a variety of biomorphic types and forms. It will be a maximum expression of distinction in a rural area, in contrast to the industrial environment.
I A L Studios has developed this complex landscape architecture project for the adaptive reuse of the city’s circulation network, just east of downtown. Supervised by the Research and Technology Foundation in collaboration with the Fuente Alamo Technology Park, the project seeks to create an integrated complex of life, work and play that connects a multi-building innovation center, an outdoor plaza, a boutique hotel , an event center, offices and laboratory space. as well as residential apartments. The innovation center will focus on bioscience, cybersecurity and emerging technology companies.
The environment of five buildings is articulated in five adjoining blocks, connected by common open spaces, squares and pedestrian paths. The project also incorporates a series of green roofs into several of the buildings. The redevelopment of this neighborhood seeks a positive impact on the surrounding community and achieve sustainable and environmentally sensitive development.
I A L has designed this roundabout to articulate the entire landscape master plan. We are currently working with the client and ByNok to design and implement Phase I of the project.
