Residence for the elderly Sisters of Charity, Spain

The garden of the Residence for the elderly Sisters of the Charity is a work of modernist landscaping, with touches of the floral style of the early twentieth century, a style that we love to practice in those performances in which it is possible, as was this garden for elderly. The garden was not treated as an independent space, but as a medium stay space to connect the residence with the forest. Many subtle design elements were introduced: a gazebo, a pergola, the greenhouse, vegetable paths, a classic fountain and a dark and mysterious pond.

The mysterious and attractive pond reflects the trees and the sky. The winding mossy paths link the garden’s residential areas. They twist again and again until they disappear in the thick oceanic vegetation. The textures of wood, stone and autumn deciduous are captured in this garden and captivate the mood of its users, through its changing colors.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

El jardín de la Residence for the elderly Sisters of the Charity es una obra de ajardinamiento modernista, con toques del estilo floral de comienzos del siglo XX, un estilo que nos encanta practicar en aquella actuaciones en las que resulta posible, como fue este jardín para ancianos. El jardín no fue tratado como un espacio independiente, sino como un espacio estancia medio para conectar la residencia con el bosque. Se introdujeron muchos elementos sutiles de diseño: un cenador, una pérgola, el invernadero, senderos vegetales, una fuente clásica y un estanque oscuro y misterioso.

El estanque misterioso y atrayente refleja los árboles y el cielo. Los sinuosos senderos musgosos unen las zonas estanciales del jardín. Se retuercen una y otra vez hasta desaparecer en la espesa vegetación oceánica. Las texturas de la madera, de la piedra y de las caducifolias otoñales se capturan en este jardín y cautivan el ánimo de sus usuarios, mediante sus colores cambiantes.
