New headquarters of the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia
International Agency landscape collaborated with the administration and with outstanding engineering studies in the renovation of the headquarters of the Official Bulletin of the Region of Murcia.
The general objective of the project was to transform the building into a living laboratory, exhibiting specialized systems of biofiltration and water treatment and serving the interest of the general public. The “Living Lab” is a thermo-socio-dynamic bio-reactor, flexible to implement the technologies necessary to create an interactive city with water. It shows the outstanding research of our study and demonstrates our motivation for water collection and recycling engineering.
The project includes living elements that include green roofs, green walls and a green facade, which makes the installation a truly live laboratory. The primary design element is the introduction of an impluvium 4.0 into the courtyard of the existing building. This new green facility acts as a visual manifestation of our research ambitions in green infrastructure.
There are also a series of green walls and vertical gardens, which have been integrated into the envelope of the existing building. These are green research walls that allow the collection and sampling of the operation of the irrigation network, and that can be exchanged and modified to adapt to a series of bio-climatic and research needs in advanced agronomy.

El objetivo general del proyecto era transformar el edificio en un laboratorio vivo, exhibiendo sistemas especializados de biofiltración y tratamiento de agua y sirviendo al interés del público en general. El “Living Lab” es un bio-reactor termo-socio-dinámico, flexible para poner en marcha las tecnologías necesarias para crear una ciudad interactiva con el agua. Muestra la investigación sobresaliente de nuestro estudio y demuestra nuestra motivación para las ingenierías de recolección y de reciclaje del agua.
El proyecto incluye elementos vivos que incluyen techos verdes, paredes verdes y una fachada verde, lo que hace de la instalación un laboratorio verdaderamente vivo. El elemento de diseño primario es la introducción de un impluvium 4.0 en el patio del edificio existente. Esta nueva instalación verde actúa como una manifestación visual de nuestras ambiciones de investigación en infraestructuras verdes.
También hay una serie de paredes verdes y jardines verticales, que se han integrado dentro de la envoltura del edificio existente. Se trata de muros verdes de investigación que permiten la recolección y el muestreo del funcionamiento de la red de riego, y que pueden intercambiarse y modificarse para adaptarse a toda una serie de necesidades bio-climáticas y de investigación en agronomía avanzada.
